Does established religion have anything to say to a modern world?
With the current levels of global tension being described as a "clash of civilisations", and strife within Christian churches over issues ranging from the treatment of women to child abuse, what is the role of established religions in a modern Western society like Australia? Is established religion an anachronism or is it still one of the pillars supporting all we do? Is so, which religions and how? If not, what's the alternative?
