Five years ago Letitia Shelton, with the support of the Mayor of Toowoomba. Paul Antonio, set out to make Toowoomba a icty free from porn. Letitia too had become aware of the harm being done by the online proliferation of destructive and abusive pornography and its connection with domestic violence and global trafficking of children and young adults on the dark web.
Together, the pair have spearheaded a movement to eradicate the harms of pornography by raising awareness of the scourge of addiction which unfortunately is found to begin in primary school.
Together with Collective Shout ,City Women are beginning to gain traction in the mainstream media.

Recently (March 6) The Courier-Mail printed an article by Stephanie Bennet under the heading 'Slapped and Choked: Boys Imitate Porn'. More recently another article printed in The Australian (April 5) 'Coalition urged to take urgent action to save girls from porn' by National Education Correspondent Rebecca Urban.
Both these articles highlight the need for urgent action to reduce the influence on young children and teens, conceding that viewing pornography shapes their sexual behaviour.
It is recognised that parents are the best educators of their children and submissions have been made for the Government to implement proof of age in order to block underage viewing of this disturbing and confronting material.
These submissions have been on the table for over a year. NOW is the time to act.
