Steven Meyer

Steven Meyer was born in Cape Town, South Africa, in 1945 and graduated as a physicist from the University of Cape Town. He has spent most of his life working in the banking, insurance and utilities industries with two excursions into academe, one in South Africa and one in Australia.

Steven's passions are science and cycling, not necessarily in that order. He emigrated to Australia in 1996 after the fourth person he knew in South Africa had been murdered.

He is married with two children both of whom were wise enough to refrain from following in my footsteps. One is an accountant, the other a lawyer.

As a retirement project Steven is planning a website devoted to reporting on matters scientific. That’s assuming he ever gets to retire.
