As Euripides (484BC to 406BC) noted some years ago: “In case of dissension, never dare to judge till you've heard the other side.”
Thank you Barnaby Joyce and Co for giving the small majority a voice in our Parliament. If there’s one thing I never want to see, it’s unanimity among our politicians. It can only mean they are up to no good.
And the media are saying that dissension is a bad thing?

No, no, no! Time to settle back and take a long hard look at our definition of democracy.
Postscript: it rained overnight. We had 19mm - a lot later and a lot less than forecast. Perhaps there’s a message there.
