We have endeavoured to contact the authors of the chosen posts. Where we have been unsuccessful, we hope that they won't mind a little extra, well deserved exposure. Congratulations to all of the “Best Blog Posts of 2007” authors, and to the writers of the many other great posts that were nominated. Also, to the readers who took the trouble to nominate their favourite posts (including some of their own): we thank you most heartily for bringing this fine work to our attention.
Note that there is no gold medal; we stressed in calling for nominations that this is an exhibition rather than a competition. However, readers are welcome to comment on the individual posts at On Line Opinion, or to praise their favourites in the comments thread at Club Troppo. If one or more informal “people's choice” emerges, so much the better.
Our greatest hope, of course, is that the “Best Blogs of 2007” will be read by those On Line Opinion readers who haven't yet caught on to the marvels of the independent blogosphere, and that they'll be persuaded to explore further, become regular blog readers and commenters, and eventually try their own hand at blogging. We wish this audience, and indeed all readers, stimulating reading in the month ahead.
