Steve Irwin - even larger in death than in life

The focus will soon turn to the best way to remember Steve Irwin.

Perhaps the best way would be to ensure the children of today and tomorrow gain a better appreciation of Australia’s unique wildlife and heritage. A fund in his honour has already been set up by the Discovery Channel in the US.

Not many Australians in our history have had a greater international impact - and a wholly beneficial one.

In death, he will surely be even larger than he was in his all too short life.
