The Ahmadiyya Muslim community and its evil twin ISIS

By Tariq Chohan and Khalid Chohan - posted Friday, 22 January 2016

In light of the atrocities committed by the so called Islamic State including the recent attacks in Sanbernadino, Paris, Beirut and Sinai under the self declared Caliphate of Abu Bakar Al Bhagdadi, it is important to recognise that there is amongst us a divinely appointed, virtuous personality, to counter the scourge that has been created by the illegitimate, self-declared caliph of ISIS.

The individual that we speak of is the Caliph of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (AMC) who along with his millions of followers in over 200 countries is ardently paving the path for reconciliation in these trying times. His name is His Holiness, Mirza Masroor Ahmed and he currently resides in London, UK. The analysis that follows will demonstrate how the spiritual Caliphate of the AMC which has been in existence for over 100 years stands in stark contrast to the worldly caliphate of ISIS.

The Caliph of the AMC is a tireless advocate for bringing about global peace based on the principle of absolute justice and the true and peaceful teachings of Islam, whilst the leader of ISIS is the main driver of the turmoil and instability that we see in the world today.

The zeal for material and territorial expansion by the leader of ISIS and his band of unhinged followers has so consumed them which is exemplified by the groups’ motto ‘remaining and expanding’, that all principles of humanity fall by the way side, as they target innocent civilians and law enforcement personnel to carry out their so called ‘vengeance’ on the West.

In contrast, the Caliph of the AMC consistently and categorically condemns terrorism and has made it a point to state that the AMC does not desire to form any sort of worldly government, now or in the future. In fact, his Holiness regularly exhorts his followers to be loyal to the country of residence and to live by the motto of the AMC which is ‘love for all, hatred for none’.

Furthermore, the AMC obtains funds to serve humanity through alms giving by its members, whereas ISIS bank rolls its terror operations through extortion, ransoms, blackmail, theft and illegal sale of oil on the black market.

With relation to media presence, the AMC runs a dedicated 24 hour satellite channel, MTA (Muslim Television Ahmadiyya) and publishes periodicals (including the longest running Islamic magazine, Review of Religions, which inculcates in its followers the true Islamic values of virtue, humility, peace and sacrifice.
