Unnecessary costs of the elderly

By Valerie Yule - posted Thursday, 31 March 2011

All these additions to services add up to nine extra costs that old people did not cost society even two decades ago. Most old people were brought up in times long gone, and can remember when old people long ago did not cost all those extras.

Am I being heartless in wanting less waste for the elderly - for myself, in fact?

This increasing waste will continue increasing until at last society says it can afford it no longer. Then what will it do?

Will it stop giving old people these services at all?

Or will it stop all these disposables?
