Andre Zonn
Andre Zonn has worked in community services and health in urban and remote communities across the Northern Territory and the Kimberley Region of Western Australia.
As regional coordinator and statewide team member, Andre won First Prize, WA State Premiers Awards (2003) for Excellence in Public Sector Management for Telehealth in the category: Services to Regional and Remote Communities.
Andre has a long standing interest in Indigenous issues and a a strong commitment to social justice issues as they affect all Australians. In June 2011, Andre was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to Australian Volunteers for local community work and is currently completing a Masters In Social Work at Melbourne University.
The current plan is to do further volunteering for a Save the Children project on the Dampier Peninsula in the West Kimberley in January 2013 and then to pursue his social work interests in addressing the social determinants of health as they impact on disadvantage and inequity in Australia.
