Elizabeth Lhuede

Elizabeth Lhuede is a writer, creative writing tutor and counsellor with an interest in mental health and social justice. An early devotee of poetry - her PhD from Macquarie University was on the "New Australian Poetry" - she has had poems published in Southerly and Imago literary magazines. Now an aspiring novelist, she has written in a number of genres, including fantasy, romance and romantic suspense. Several of these manuscripts have finalled in the Emma Darcy (now Emerald) and Clendon Awards. Her latest manuscript, a psychological suspense novel, is almost ready to submit to an agent.

In response to the "gender bias" debates during 2011, Elizabeth was prompted to establish the Australian Women Writers 2012 Reading & Reviewing Challenge. Her website "Beautiful Lies" can be found at http://www.elizabethlhuede.com and her review site at "Devoted Eclectic" http://elizabethlhuede.wordpress.com/
