Dr Carlos Seré, Director General, International Livestock Research Institute. Immediately before joining ILRI, he worked for 7 years for the Latin America and Caribbean office of the International Development Research Centre (Canada), first managing a portfolio of agricultural and natural resource management projects and, from 1996, serving as a regional director.
