Deb Wilkinson

Before joining the Institute, Deb spent almost three years working as a policy advisor for the Australian Democrats. She has also worked as an environmental policy consultant, a researcher for an economics consultancy and as an environmental policy and planning officer in local government.

In 2000, Deb co-authored Resetting the Compass: Australia’s Journey Towards Sustainability with Professor David Yencken. She has also published on the environmental role of the Commonwealth, the accountability of private schools to public values and the application of anti-discrimination laws to private schools.

Deb holds a combined Arts/Planning and Design degree from the University of Melbourne. In her Arts degree, she majored in politics and sociology. Deb recently completed an MPhil in Environmental Policy at the University of Cambridge.
