Alan Jackson

Associate Professor Alan Jackson is the Business Development Manager for the Woodside Hydrocarbon Research Facility. Alan is a Chartered Professional Engineer with some 40 years experience in the Energy Industry.

Trained as a Power Engineer in the UK, he has wide experience in operations, project management and training in the power industry both overseas and in Australia.

Alan joined the Hydrocarbon industry in 1989 and has had extensive exposure to gas marketing, research into gas transport mediums and gas quality issues during this period. During this period he was also appointed as an adjunct at Curtin University He was instrumental in the establishment of the Woodside Hydrocarbon Research Facility to examine the potential for gas hydrate as a transport medium and holds several patents in gas processing and utilisation. Alan is the author of various international publications and conference papers.
