Hiram Caton
Caton did his undergraduate work at the University of Chicago and took his PhD from Yale University after undertaking a year's study at the University of Freiburg, Germany. He was awarded the Doctor of Letters for his contributions to modern history. His visiting institutional affiliations include the Museum of Comparative Zoology, Harvard University, the Department of Government, Harvard University, the Max Planck Institute for Human Ethology, Andechs, Germany, and the Institute for Contemporary History, Munich.
He held a National Humanities Fellowship at the National Humanities Center (USA) and was a Research Fellow in the Insitutute for Advanced Studies, Australian National University prior to his appointment at Griffith University.
Hiram Caton is now a former professor of politics and history at Griffith University in Queensland and an associate of the US National Centre for Science Education. He is working on a book titled Evolution in the Century of Progress.
