Mike Dockery
Dr Mike Dockery is an Associate Professor in the School of Economics and Finance at Curtin University of Technology and a Research Associate with the Centre for Labour Market Research in Perth, WA.
Mike Dockery's principal expertise is the analysis of applied issues in labour economics, but he has also undertaken research in a wide range of areas involving both quantitative and qualitative research methods.
He is proficient with the analysis of data from surveys and secondary sources using SAS and other specialist statistical software. Mike's current research activities include analysis of aspects of unemployment and labour market assistance policy in Australia based on longitudinal data from the Survey of Employment and Unemployment Patterns and Department of Family and Community Service administrative records. His research has been published in journals such as The Australian Economic Review, Economic Papers and the Australian Bulletin of Labour.
Mike is studying towards a PhD on the topic of the evaluation of labour market programs.
