Fiona Mueller

Fiona Mueller BA, DipEd, MEd, PhD has been a teacher of English, German, French and Italian for over 20 years. Fiona has become convinced of the importance of explicit instruction in grammar. She has worked in government, Catholic and Anglican schools as well as at three universities. After six years as Head of Languages at a large independent school in Canberra, she joined the NSW Board of Studies to work in education policy. In 2005, she designed and led a major research project to investigate the extent to which undergraduates from all Australian states and territories perceived that their K-12 English courses had prepared them for tertiary study. Fiona completed a doctorate in education in 2007.
