The American betrayal of the Assyrians

By David Chibo - posted Friday, 1 August 2014

The Christian population, once numbering more than a million in Iraq, was halved during the 2003 US-led overt invasion. Iraq's Christian population which consists of the ancient and indigenous Assyrian, Chaldean and Syriac communities today number fewer than 400,000 across Iraq. Today the US-backed Islamic State (IS) has ethnically cleansed the indigenous Assyrian population from Mosul, Iraq's second largest city.

The fate of the entire Middle East and its minorities was pre-determined when the US Government in tandem with the US bankers, determined to maintain their economic and military supremacy in 1973, switched from a gold-dollar to a petro-dollar, requiring US control of the world's energy resources.

President Carter's National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski believed that global dominance was dependent on control of the numerous (petro) states of Soviet Central Asia. In The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives, Brzezinski put forward a vision of creating a "global-zone of percolating violence," leading to the break-up of the Middle East, into a mosaic of competing factions, and weakening the authority of existing republics and kingdoms, that could be skilfully manipulated to inhibit the integration of the Central Asian states. The chaos would spread in what he also called an "arc of crisis."

After former US-backed terrorists attacked America on 9/11 the US used this as a pretext to overtly invade and occupy both Afghanistan and Iraq. The US was fortunately soundly defeated in Iraq and, rather than installing a compliant "strongman", they were forced to grant the Iraqis the democracy their PR machine had trumpeted so loudly before their invasion. Iraq had fallen out of the US's orbit, and like Iran, Syria and Lebanon, would be destabilized, sanctioned and covertly attacked using the same worldwide Al Qaeda affiliated jihadi terrorist network that had produced Osama Bin Laden.

Nabeel Naiem, a former Al Qaeda commander, in a recent interview explained that the Al Qaeda offshoot, ISIS was established in 2006. When asked about ISIS's leader Abu Baghdadi he explained, "It is known that the USA released him from prison and he spent 20 to 30 million US dollars to establish these ISIS groups and the first ISIS camps were established in Jordan…….these camps were supervised by the Marines, and the arming of ISIS is all American."

Some of the high level details of the interview were corroborated by former US NSA employee, Edward Snowden, who recently revealed that the British and American intelligence and the Mossad worked together to create the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). The organization that they founded was to be self-sustaining and able to attract all extremists of the world to one place, using a strategy called "the hornet's nest".

While Western intelligence officials were busy trotting out their plausible deniability Jedi mind-trick, on an ignorant Western population, a huge pool of jihadi death squads was indoctrinated by Saudi Arabia, trained in Jordan and Turkey, supplied by Qatar and guided by Western and Israeli intelligence to attack Libya, Syria and today Iraq, facilitating the balkanization of the entire region along ethnic and sectarian lines.

The CIA's Saudi indoctrination program includes a book titled Management of Savagery by Abu Bakr Muhammad Maqdisi. This book is an ISIS guide to use psychological warfare to terrorize the people of the region through the same barbaric tactics as Genghis Khan. Genghis Khan would enter a village and annihilate all living in it, men, women, children and even animals, burning down their houses and erecting a giant pyramid of severed heads at the city gates as a symbol of Mongol victory.

The head of Iraq's largest church, Chaldean Catholic Patriarch Louis Raphael Sako, explained last month how Islamic State militants who drove Christians out of Mosul were worse than Mongol leader Genghis Khan and his grandson Hulagu who ransacked medieval Baghdad.

The US-backed IS death squads issued a proclamation demanding that Christians either convert to Islam, submit to their radical rule and pay a religious levy or face death by the sword. If they did not do so, there would be 'nothing for them but the sword', it said. As a result thousands of Iraqi Christians last month poured out of Mosul. On their way out many of these Christian refugees were also robbed by IS as they fled.

According to the local UN mission the US's "arc of crisis" has caused over 2 million Iraqis to be displaced with another 400 uprooted families arriving last Sunday morning in both Arbil and Dohuk, the Kurdish enclave. Other indigenous minorities from the same province of Nineveh have suffered even more than the Christians. HRW documented extensive crimes against the Yezidies, as well as the Turkmen and Shabak Shiite communities.

All wars are US bankers' wars and the "arc of crisis" they have engineered in the Middle East today has led to the exodus of an entire Christian population from their ancestral homelands, while a Rothschild scion inks a deal to pump Iraq's oil birthright.

The CIA's plausible deniability be damned, like the British before them the Americans have betrayed not just the Assyrians but all minorities in the Middle East. We should now not only expose the US's hand in supporting these war crimes we should seek justice for the US Government leaders and US bankers as well as war reparations for the numerous war crimes they have committed on all the people of the Middle East.
