Chrys Stevenson

Chrys Stevenson has a Bachelor of Arts (majors: Literature, Australian History, Social Science and Cultural Studies) and a First Class Honours Degree in Cultural Studies from Griffith University, Brisbane. On graduation, she was awarded the University Medal for Academic Excellence. Chrys won two scholarships and worked for nearly three years on her PhD on public consultation at the Sunshine Coast before having to retire due to ill-health. Chrys has a marketing and PR background and wrote most of the media pieces for the 2010 Global Atheist Convention held in Melbourne in March. Chrys has had numerous articles published in trade journals and newspapers during her career in marketing and recently, with Warren Bonett, helped to produce and edit The Australian Book of Atheism, to which she has contributed a chapter. She is currently researching a book aimed at countering the claim that Australia is a Christian nation.
